This is a story of a man. One day, his love fell for light. Sadly, at night, there was no way to make it stay. He climbed into the sky on top of the highest ladder and reached for parts of the sun with his hands. They burned. He stood for hours collecting his sundrops. When night came, they had already started to cool. He placed them in the night sky so she could love them all day long.
You put the stars in the sky,
one by one,
only for me.
What you didn’t realize,
is that I would fall in love with them long before falling for you.
But when the stars fell from the height you gave them,
they told me of you and of what you had done.
Suddenly I was falling.
