Talk about a nail-biting game. The men’s basketball battle between John Abbott College and Cégep de l’Outaouais had me on the edge of my seat, yet I only came at half time. During the entire game, the two teams were neck and neck. Kudos to both teams, as even though they were dripping with sweat and were panting harder than ever, they did not stop. Both teams continued to fight hard until the end, and the winner was determined.
The beginning of the game was continuously back and forth, with Outaoauois taking the lead into halftime, 41-52. Arriving there I was a little worried…
However, Abbott quickly bounced back as they scored 20 points within 5 minutes of returning to the court. Then continued this nail bitting teeter-totter game, as the score was now 61-58. Even though Abbott was leading, everyone in the stands knew that Outaouais could quickly come back.
However, as Outaouais fell behind they began getting more and more sloppy and, continuously fouling. This only fueled Abbott, as they continued to push even harder than before, growing their lead.
The final score was at 100-82 for Abbott. This teeter-tooter turned into a victory as we ended up leading with 18 points. Congratulations to JAC’s Men’s Basketball team! Hard work pays off, and we saw it on the court on February 9th.
