JAC Variety Show
Vanessa Burns (Arts and Culture Editor)
This Thursday, November 6th, Abbott’s most talented students will be putting on a spectacle to remember. Entitled “Neon Nightz”, the variety show will highlight the diversity of the John Abbott student body. From belly dancing to flamenco guitar to ukulele-playing, this semester’s production is definitely unique!
All of the proceeds from the ticket sales and the bake sale, which will be held before and after the show as well as during the intermission, will be donated to the West Island Cancer Wellness Center. This registered charity provides complimentary emotional, psychological, social, and spiritual support to people experiencing cancer. They offer many different programs to help improve the health and wellbeing of those who are affected by this increasingly common disease. By coming to the show, you are not only supporting your fellow friends and classmates, but you are supporting your community as well.
The show will take place at 7PM in the Agora, and tickets are only 10$ at the door. It’s going to be a fun, colourful, energy-filled evening, so I’d better see you there!
