Two weeks ago, rapper Lil Uzi Vert decided to bless us with his new album, “Luv Is Rage 2”. As a fan of his, I immediately listened to it as soon as I saw that it was out, and when I did, I was surprised. This album being named after his second mixtape made me start to compare the two. I found that in two short years, Lil Uzi seemed to have completely changed his style.

As a mixtape, Luv Is Rage is generic: while listening to it, I thought it was good, but there wasn’t anything that made me think that it was unique. It sounded to me just like any other mixtape I could find. Turn the dial to 2017, and now, while listening to Luv Is Rage 2, I hear the bars and think about no one else than Uzi and how much I’m bumping to these songs. Not a single song hasn’t got my head bobbing and dancing. A great achievement is that the song that I like the least on the album is only called that because I like the other songs better, but I don’t even dislike it.

Overall Luv Is Rage 2 is a solid 8.5/10. I listen to it when I want to have a boost to my mood and have a good time. I recommend it for times where you’re just chilling together with a small group of friends.
