Pup Concert Review

On October 28th, I went down to the Place Des Arts to check out the annual Zombie Walk, and it was great to see hundreds of people there all dressed up and getting into the Halloween spirit; however, to be entirely honest, I was not there for the Zombie Walk. I was there to see the free Pup concert.

Pup is one of my all time favorite bands, and I have had the privilege of being able to see them for the 4th time this year.

As per usual, the band put on an absolutely energetic show from start to finish. Every time I have seen them perform, their crowd gets exceedingly bigger and bigger. Pup are still a relatively small band, and being able to see their audience grow and grow really puts a big smile on my face.

Due to this being a public event, there were families with small children around which raised some concerns for me, because Pup’s music is not exactly family friendly. Nobody seemed to cause any issues besides, yes, of course there was a mosh bit, but it was kept very close to the stage and nobody got hurt (at least, without their own consent).

For many, this will be their first time seeing Pup perform, and I sincerely hope it is not the last time. They are able to flip genres like no other band, and I look forward to seeing them again in the near future. They will be back soon, I suggest you check them out next time.
