SUJAC Update
Hello fellow students!
The first strike day happened last Thursday. As a result, the study day at the end of the semester will be replaced with a day of class; therefore, the examination period will begin on time (if there are no more strike days used). The executives and congress members at SUJAC have been working on increasing students’ and teachers’ awareness on the teacher strikes and what they’re for. Like SUJAC’s Facebook page or come by SUJAC (P-101) for more information.
SUJAC is having a contest for a Snapchat Geofilter. A Geofilter is an official location-based graphic design for the college that can be added to every snap taken on campus. If you would like to take part in this contest for a prize, consult the document posted on our Facebook page, contact SUJAC on Facebook or email sujacvpcommunications@johnabbott.qc.ca for more information.
Next, look out for a healthcare survey on Omnivox. We want to know what your opinions are on whether there should be an optional health and dental insurance plan that would come at a low cost every semester.
Don’t forget, SUJAC is always open to having more congress members. If you or your friends are interested in joining the student government, we strongly encourage you to stop by our office (P-101) to grab a nomination sheet and to sign up. SUJAC Congress is home to exciting debates, which allow all the participating students to express their opinions on College issues as well as to partake in various SUJAC events and activities.
Furthermore, we would like to remind all the students that SUJAC is very active on social media. You can add us on Snapchat at “SUJACsnap” and follow us on Instagram @Insta.JAC. These social media sources, along with our Facebook page, will allow you to stay updated with current and upcoming college events, activities, news, etc.
On behalf of all of SUJAC, good luck in the final push towards the end of the semester.
Sincerely,
Your SUJAC Executives
