SUJAC UPDATE

Hello John Abbott!

Congrats to new Congress members who will be representing JAC’s student body on different issues: Gabrielle Khreiche, Eric Lalonde, and Bogdan Biloshytskyy.

Congress seats are still open for Pre-U and Professional student reps, so drop by SUJAC (P-101) to pick up a Congress Nomination Form and join this team of Student Leaders!

SUJAC-Club Day was an enormous success! Our Clubs really outdid themselves. Bake sales, art projects, and interactive activities made it difficult for the Student Union to announce the winners of the Best Booth competition. The winner will be announced very soon.
John Abbott’s Homecoming is coming up! The festivities begin October 12th, with the first ever Director General’s 5@7 in the AME Atrium. Be sure to stay for the Women’s Rugby game versus Dawson at Memorial Field, or the Women’s Hockey game versus Saint-Laurent at the Mac Arena. On Saturday, we have the Homecoming Football Game versus Beauce-Appalaches. Be ready for bouncy castles and barbecues!

TECHNOLOGY STUDENTS ALERT! We are looking for a Technology student to sit on the Board of Governors for the 2018-2019 academic year. The Board meets on the following Tuesdays: 2018: October 30th and November 27th and 2019: February 5th, March 26th, May 7th, and June 12th.

Sitting on the Board is a tremendous leadership opportunity, as it is the highest level of governance at the College.

If you are a Technology student and are interested, come to SUJAC-P101 to pick up a Board of Governors Student Representative nomination form. The submission deadline for your completed nomination form is:

Until next time,

Your SUJAC Team:
