SUJAC UPDATE

What’s up, Islanders!
Congratulations to QueerHub, Bandersnatch and JACMUN, winners of SUJAC-Club Day’s best booth contest! The Clubs put so much effort into their booths and everyone’s attendance made it a fun and dynamic event. It was an enormous success, and our Clubs outdid themselves on the preparation and presentation of their booths.
On a similar note, JAC’s Fall Open House was a huge success for the college! A huge thanks is in order for everyone who was involved!
In other news, SUJAC has partnered up with SSMU (Students’ Society of McGill University) to allow John Abbott students to join in on McGill’s annual Halloween festivities. This event, which will be 18+, is going to be held at the McGill Macdonald Campus Centennial Centre on October 25th, from 9 pm-3 am. Tickets will be sold in P-101 at the price of 20$. Careful, your student IDs will be required for entrance into the venue!
Also, SUJAC is bringing you something particularly exciting on Halloween. On October 31st, from 7:30-9:30 am, SUJAC is offering “Two for a Toonie” at The Oval, JAC’s very own student-run café. A bagel with cream cheese and a hot drink will be offered at the price of just 2$. This is a great opportunity to meet your student representatives and to find out more about how SUJAC protects student rights. Don’t miss out!
We hope you all enjoyed yourselves at the John Abbott’s Homecoming weekend festivities. Abbott scored 58 to 14. Congrats to the Islanders!
Remember, SUJAC is here for you! If you have any problems with a teacher, grade, or are in need of direction or assistance within the College, please drop by the SUJAC office in P-101. Don’t hesitate to come by and see one of our SUJAC Executives, or the SUJAC Coordinator, Barb. We’re eager to give you some pointers in the right direction; after all it’s what we’re here for!
SUJAC also likes hearing from you! If you have any suggestions or ideas for projects you’d like to see happen—or plan—at John Abbott College, please let us know. We’re happy to help!
Until next time,
Your SUJAC Executive Team
President Andrew Stein
VP Internal Lathan Walker
VP Academic Elizabeth Yasa
VP Finance Mona Masri
VP External Sonia Agougou
