Hey JAC!

One of SUJAC’S goals this year is to be more transparent to you about what we do. To help us achieve this goal, we encourage you to follow us on Instagram and on our Facebook page. We will be using these media sites to update you on events that are happening at the school and to ask you for feedback, to ask questions, and to give surveys on actions that we take or are considering. Also, we will now be updating our website ( with the Executive agendas and minutes for our weekly meetings. Along with all of these actions, SUJAC Executives held our first open meeting last week on November 8th where students were invited to attend, to listen and to ask questions. We plan to do this again in the Winter Semester.

Also on November 8th, SUJAC’s VP Finance, Mona Masri, gave a very thoughtful speech at the Remembrance Day Ceremony held on the John Abbott Memorial Field. Former SUJAC Presidents came to the ceremony as well to pay their respects to the brave veterans and soldiers who have fought and are fighting for our country.

On another note, SUJAC will be hosting a Pet Therapy event on Monday, November 26th, from 11 am to 12 pm and 1 to 2 pm in the Agora. We will also be hosting a Chair Massage Therapy event on Wednesday, November 21st, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm again in the Agora; sign up in Student Activities (H-159) for an appointment. We will also be hosting SUJAC’s first Cram Night session in the Agora on Wednesday, December 12th, from 5:30 to 10:30 pm before the final exams… More information will follow soon!

Let’s all work together to see more positive change.

Your SUJAC Executive Team,
President Andrew Stein
VP Internal Lathan Walker
VP Academic Elizabeth Yasa
VP Finance Mona Masri
VP External Sonia Agougou
VP Communications Emanuelle Peer-Wininger
