SUJAC Update

Dear students,

The SUJAC team hopes that all of you have had a great Labor Day weekend as well as a good time during your first two weeks of school. Moving on to what is happening with SUJAC. Last Tuesday, Congress had their first meeting and the new members will now be joining various committees to represent the students and our point of view on different issues around the college.

A few things are coming up that you should all be aware of; first, there will be the Academic Council Student Representative Elections. Academic Council is the second highest decision making committee in the school. They meet every two to three weeks in the Stewart Boardroom from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. If you would like to be the voice of student opinion on the Council, watch your Omnivox News Feed for the election date. You simply have to come to the congress meeting in H-238 at 5:30 PM on the date that is to be announced and present a five minutes speech on why you should be on the Academic Council.

Coming up, as well, are the elections for Vice-President Academic and Vice-President Communications. The positions are open to all students in the school. If you are interested to run, simply come to P-101 to pick up your form and to be informed about what it entails to be a SUJAC executive. We hope to see many of you running.

Remember that we are here for you. If you ever need help with anything come see us in the SUJAC office in P-101 and we will do our best to assist you. The SUJAC Executive team wishes all of the students a great semester.
