Watchlist: NFL offseason

Will Brady be Back?
“Disappointing” would be an understatement to encapsulate how the New England Patriots’ season ended. And with the face of the franchise’s contract up, Foxborough faithful, as well as the rest of the league, are left holding their breath while they wait to see if, and where, the GOAT will lace up next season. Adding to the suspense was Brady’s Instagram and Twitter posts, a black and white image where it was almost impossible to discern upon first glance whether he was walking in or out of Gillette Stadium. The team has recently confirmed that if he does come back, it won’t be until after he tests the free-agent market.

Giant Shoes to Fill
After much speculation and an up-and-down season as a backup, Eli Manning finally called it a career out in New York, setting the stage for Daniel Jones to step up and take control of this team once and for all. With one of the greats gone, and Garrett set to call plays, it appears to be now or never for Jones to make his mark on this league and turn the Giants around.

KC Chiefs: the Next Dynasty?
Almost out of nowhere, the Chiefs finally fielded a defence whose caliber matched their nightmare-inducing offence, and that combo immediately won them the Lombardi. With the lineups on both sides of the ball looking like they’ll remain pretty much the same as the team who took the field in Miami, there exists a very real possibility that Chiefs Kingdom conquers the league à la New England for the foreseeable future.

Who Leads the Charge?
The LA Chargers have officially announced that franchise QB, Phillip Rivers, will not return under centre. While this may not have been a surprise to anyone, with the franchise floundering in mediocrity, it begs the question of who will be left to bring the offence to life.
