North And South Korea To Compete Under A Neutral Flag In Pyeongchang

North and South Korea have agreed to join forces and compete under a neutral flag for the upcoming Olympic Games that will take place in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Many have viewed this as either a political action that demonstrates peace between the two nations or that would end disastrously. IOC President Thomas Bach has stated that North Korea will send 22 athletes to the Games. Among the joint participation of the two nations, the Women Ice hockey team will also be united with both North and South Koreans on the roster. Other sporting categories that North Koreans will be participating in will be various skating and skiing events. This news comes as a shock to many given their ongoing feud, but nothing brings people together like the Olympics. In less than a month, during the opening ceremony, they will march together side-by-side.
