SHADES OF BLUE

by Ember Morrell

Dark blue mohawk comes towards me,
I get chills,
The blue hairs tickle my face
While lips kiss my neck.
Days later,
Those same lips smile my way,
The blue mohawk,
Now faded to ocean blue,
Like the beaches in Greece.
His embrace is warm,
And welcomed.
Days later,
That embrace warms me as we wait,
I live in his arms,
His now pale blue mohawk,
Attracts eyes,
We ignore the stabbing stares
As two misfits do.
