Taking a look in the mirror,
her eyes fill with a wave of tears.
Watching the crippling bones in terror
for her ghostly corpse reveals her fears.

To know that she is one taste away,
but dreads the guilt of the gain.
Therefore she lays;
in a coffin surrounded by pain.

Until the day she finds,
That her mortality is dying.
Body turning to ashes before her eyes;
she looks in the reflective glass—finally deciding.

That those numbers won’t ring in her ears.
No longer obsessing every bite.
Letting go of the thoughts of her peers.
Truly wanting to fight.
