Fall Leaves

Missing the fall leaves with my step,
To not break the silence of the night.
I feel the world may need this silence to rest.
I don’t blame her.
I too get tired of all the busyness of the day,
All the cars and people on the streets.
Else why’d I be walking at such an hour?
She doesn’t get this silence for long.
And so, I keep the volume down, step around those leaves,
So we both, can rest.
