SUJAC Update
Hey JAC Abbotters!
February has been a great month for Abbott Clubs! Black History Month, organized by BSU, had different Black businesses, a speaker, hair and fashion styles, and more. JACMUN (Model United Nations) participated in HNMUN (Harvard National) and JACMUN member Salem Zeleke Sinishaw received the Diplomatic Award. The Robotics Club participated in the CRC Robotics Competition and came home with 7 Awards! Congrats to our JAC Clubs!
Many students dropped by the Agora for the Winter Wonderland SUJAC Club Day with the 30-plus amazing student-run clubs to learn about and sign up for if you didn’t already have a chance. SUJAC sponsored the Prize Wheel and many students spun for some good stuff while CSKY played live, bringing out some of the cool Latino dancers! Everyone involved in this event did a great job decorating for the white winter theme and engaging the visitors. The Spirit Team won the ‘Best Booth’ prize this time.
There were also many winners at SUJAC’s very first ‘Minute to Win It’ event on February 23, where people were able to overcome the pressure to beat the best and take home some sweet cash prizes! There were 10 games to compete in and a great turnout.
Watch out on the Portal for Multicultural Week, starting Monday, March 20th, to Friday, March 24th. We can’t wait to see you all there at the biggest party of the year!
Bravo to SUJAC Congress members and Club leaders Gracie Diabo and Sabrina Du, the two John Abbott College finalists for the Loran Scholarship. We will be waiting to hear the results!
Keep up to date with things on our Instagram account @instasujac. As always, if you have any questions or concerns for us, feel free to contact us via MIO or in person at the SUJAC Office (P-101).
