SUJAC UPDATE
By Vanshika Manan
Vice President of External Affairs
Hello Everyone!
As we approach the end of the semester, SUJAC has been busy working to improve your campus experience, and we’re excited to share some of our ongoing initiatives with you.
First, we know getting around campus can be challenging, so we’ve launched a new Transport Committee to find better and more sustainable mobility solutions for students. This committee, comprised of three SUJAC executives and six congress members, addresses transportation issues and explores sustainable options to make commuting more accessible for everyone. We’re looking forward to sharing more on their progress soon!
With the stress of finals around the corner, we also want to remind you to take a break and join us at the De-Stress Fest on November 25-26. It’s the perfect opportunity to relax, recharge, and pick up a SUJAC beeswax candle—a little gift to help brighten your study sessions and reduce stress during the final push of the semester.
Transparency is a crucial priority for us, and in that spirit, we’ve set up an updated SUJAC Bulletin Board outside P-101. There, you’ll find the latest updates on our ongoing projects and a snapshot of what we’ve accomplished so far. We also encourage you to come by the office anytime to share your thoughts, concerns, or suggestions—we’re always happy to hear from you! To dive deeper into what we’ve been working on this semester, we invite you to attend the SUJAC General Assembly on November 25. We’ll review our projects, discuss upcoming initiatives, and answer any questions you may have.
Additionally, we are excited to announce that the college is working on a pilot project to implement free menstrual products in roughly 20 bathrooms across campus. We’ve been discussing this initiative with the facilities department to identify suitable locations, and we can’t wait to see it come to fruition in the first week of December!
And because the holiday season is just around the corner, we’re excited to bring back our annual 12 Days of SUJAC tradition! Starting November 22, you can nominate your friends for a daily prize, with winners selected every day through December 9. Check out the nomination form on Omnivox and join in the fun!
Finally, on behalf of the SUJAC team, we wish everyone a wonderful holiday season. We’re looking forward to continuing our projects and initiatives next semester, and as always, we’re here for any ideas or feedback you have.
