SUJAC Update!

Hi everyone!

We hope your semester is off to a great start! SUJAC is back in action with new initiatives to enhance student life.

Some of our projects from last semester came to life over the winter break! Menstrual product dispensers are now in 20 bathrooms across the college, making these essential items more accessible. The Fishbowl and Stewart Hall renovations are complete, creating refreshed and inviting spaces for everyone to enjoy. We hope you make the most of these new improvements!

We recently held our first sustainability giveaway on Instagram (@instasujac), and we’re excited to announce that it will continue monthly until the end of the academic year. Three winners will receive an OPUS card refill each month, while another three will win SUJAC reusable water bottles. Our January winners have already been selected, but stay tuned for this month’s giveaway!

To promote transparency, we have begun posting our executive and congress agendas on the bulletin board outside P-101. These agendas will also be available in the SUJAC community tab on the Omnivox portal. These initiatives will allow students to stay current on our projects and achievements, ensuring that students stay informed about our meetings and decisions.

Additionally, we are thrilled to announce our collaboration with other Anglophone CEGEPs in Montreal to host an ARTZ Showcase on Sunday, March 23rd, at CEGEP du Vieux-Montréal. If you are a painter, singer, dancer, actor, or business owner, this is your chance to shine!

We are currently looking for participants. Please check the link in our Instagram bio to sign up. The deadline is Monday, February 17th. All proceeds from this event will go toward supporting refugee students.

We are also gearing up for SUJAC Club Day on Thursday, February 20th, which is themed Igloofest (Winter Wonderland)! Whether you’re looking to join a club that sparks your interest or simply want to enjoy the lively atmosphere, this is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in campus life.

Finally, the SUJAC Executive Elections are next month! If you’re passionate about representing students, making a difference, and improving our school, this is the perfect opportunity to step up. If you have questions about SUJAC roles and responsibilities, please stop by P-101 anytime.

Thank you for your continued support—we look forward to a fantastic semester!
