Hey Everyone!
We hope you had a restful and enjoyable spring break. SUJAC is back in action, and we have some exciting updates for you.
Our sustainability giveaway continues! This month, you have the chance to win a free Opus card refill and an Aerogarden. Make sure to follow @instasujac and participate each month as you just might be our next winner!
We also held our very first reusable menstrual product tabling event during the sexual health fair giving away roughly 200 free cups and discs to John Abbott Students. Missed out? Don’t worry! We’ll be handing out more on Tuesday, April 22nd, in celebration of Earth Day so stay tuned on our instagram for more details.
Additionally, we have now launched Meet the Congress Member, an initiative aimed at highlighting all the amazing people that make up SUJAC. We hope you take a look at the Omnivox tab to find out more about who represents you.
We are happy to see the Fishbowl lounge in Stewart Hall renovated and buzzing and hope you guys are enjoying this improved space. To continue our commitment to student representation, we’re launching a Mural Competition, giving a student (or group of students) the opportunity to design a mural that will be displayed in the Fishbowl. We also celebrated our beloved annual Multicultural Week—and what an incredible week it was! It was amazing to see representatives from various countries and cultural clubs come together to showcase their rich traditions, vibrant performances, and delicious cuisines. We hope you had a blast exploring new tastes and cultures. Keep an eye on @instasujac for some exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews!
Lastly, our nomination period for our SUJAC Executive Elections ran from Monday March 17th to Friday March 28th. The results are just around the corner, so stay tuned as your new executives will be announced soon!
