The Long Wait

Have you ever heard the soft chirp of a bird,
As Winter thaws into Spring?
Or seen your reflection blurred,
In the puddles that rains bring?

Have you ever wondered why fresh snow shines,
So bright on a sunny day?
Or noticed the serene skylines,
When the clouds come out to play?

There is beauty in the little things,
That this earth has to offer,
And as butterflies spread their wings,
You too can enjoy it in proper,

I for one have seen this and more,
But all was not fine,
As there is a time and place to see the outdoor,
And it is not in the 419 line.
