At the start of the NFL season, fans, pundits and commentators have been talking about the possibility of the Chiefs winning the first three peat in league history. As the season went on, the possibility of the Chiefs going undefeated had been brought up.
The conundrum with that idea of that was that every week they kept getting away with questionable results. Many complained that the referees had made questionable game changing calls, which isn’t totally false but in the end the Chiefs still kept winning which was the important part. Because like everyone will say in sports, no matter what happens “A win is a win !” and that’s the hard truth many needed to accept.
In week 10, the Chiefs were playing an important division game against the Denver Broncos. The game remained tight and even went to the last second of the game where the Chiefs blocked a game winning field goal from Will Lutz and get away with another questionable win of 16-14.
Then week 11 came along, the time for the long awaited rivalry game of the recent years against the Buffalo Bills was finally here. The recent playoff losses for the Bills were fueling them for a possible revenge win. The game started very close until Patrick Mahomes threw an interception in the second play of the game and the Bills capitalized with an early touchdown. After exchanging a couple of touchdowns, the two teams remain very close with the Bills having a two point lead in a score of 23-21 with around eight minutes left in the game. On fourth and two, the Bills had a tough decisions with possibly the game on the line if something went wrong. Coach Sean McDermott, decided to put the ball in his Superstar quarterback Josh Allen and run and designed run play for him that lead to a game sealing touchdown that ruined all hopes of an undefeated three peating season for the Kansas City Chiefs.
