FAREWELL TO JOHN ABBOTT!

I write this as the semester slowly draws to an end: my final one. As I reflect upon my time in cégep, I suppose it truly was an interesting experience. I began my journey online in the midst of the pandemic, and once I was finally able to experiment in-person campus life, I was met with a swarm of construction and intricate detours to navigate around the buildings.
My time in Sciences was not a walk in the part: I spent probably 90 to 95% of my free time hitting the books; however, there were other aspects of the experience that were truly wonderful. For one, my involvement in various clubs, especially Bandersnatch. Going from the Arts Editor to the Assistant Editor-in-Chief and back to a Staff Writer was a trip that took me through the workings of the paper and what each position entailed. I met lots of wonderful people and submitted many pieces of art and articles.
As I ventured through my time here, I got to experience numerous events and activities including the cabane à sucre, many SASS events (shoutout to them!), and partaking in the variety show. My favourite event must have been this year’s multicultural day since so many amazing and rich cultures were represented. It was a day that will always remain with me. I also can’t forget all the friends I have met and made during my time here.
Although these moments were cut short due to the pandemic, I feel quite fulfilled, and I believe that I was still able to experience a typical college lifestyle. However, it is now time for bigger things. I smile sadly as I conclude this – my last Bandersnatch article.
