Stephanie Zhang
Assistant Editor-in-Chief/ Entertainment Editor
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Stephanie Zhang, beloved Assistant Editor-in-Chief and Entertainment Editor of Bandersnatch. Under the tutelage of five different leaderships, she has
learned from the wisest of the wise, surviving multiple rise and falls of the newspaper, and establishing herself as a great yapper to those she trusted dearly.
Her death circumstances are quite obfuscatory; witnesses say she was last sighted near Sunset Boulevard, having been location scouting for her upcoming indie film. It was allegedly reported that she was carried away by a wave of creative vision, and drowned in the sea of overthinking.
Presumably, she swam back up, and made it back to her studio for a scheduled meeting with a client. Her actual death occurred that evening, when her guitar cut right through her heart, that got sick of chasing someone running through her daydream. As the light faded from her eyes, she caught one last glimpse of her sketchbook that lay next to her on the floor, its pages open to an incomplete drawing of a person walking out the door with their bags.
O heartbreak, from unrequited love. A tragic end to a young bright soul.
Friends recall the times Steph would oddly but effectively crouch down on the ground, trying to get the ‘perfect shot’ with her trusty camera. An artist at heart, her soul will live on within the hearts of her family and friends. In loving memory of her, donations for Pokemon cards are now open.
