SUJAC Update – October 8th

Hello again, Abbotteers!

With the falling of leaves and changing of colours, autumn has definitely arrived, and with it has come the halfway point to our semester! As midterms begin, be sure to keep your eye on the prize and continue to strive for academic success. If you’re stuck on an essay and need some help, be sure to check out the Academic Success Centre in L-023.

October has started off amazingly with a fantastic turnout for our SUJAC-sponsored Club Day, “Lights, Camera, Action!” Among the events hosted were an awe-inspiring dance-off, video game tournaments, and lots of little goodies being handed out. The SUJAC booth in particular gave away lots and lots of free and delicious popcorn! We are incredibly excited and proud of the effort and dedication that each of the representing clubs put into their displays and tables; all of you truly showed how important and awesome clubs are here at Abbott.
We’d also like to congratulate Alberto Eduardo Correa and Vanessa Ghalayini on winning the raffle; they’ve each won a gift card to Cineplex to watch any of the new amazing movies that have come out lately.

The Executives of SUJAC would also like to congratulate our new student representatives of the Board of Governors of John Abbott College: Hanna Oosterveen (Pre-University) and Antonio Pampena (Technology). We wish them much success in representing our school! On that note, we would also like to congratulate Christopher Chenevert and Beatrice Quirion on their elections to Congress.

As always, if you ever have any difficulties with your teachers or the grades you’ve received, or if you have any issues about the school that you think should be discussed, feel free to swing by our office and chat with us.

Cheers,
The SUJAC Executives
