It is time, everyone, for… *big exhale* your personally curated coverage of the 67th Annual Grammy Awards! (Hurray)

Hosted by Trevor Noah for the fifth year in a row, the 2025 GRAMMYs took place on Feb 2nd at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, and, much like the previous years, the glamorous event was filled with celebs and big names. This year’s event also raised funds for MusiCares Fire Relief as a response to the recent California wildfires.

The evening opened with a performance paying homage to the victims of the LA fires. John Legend, Sheryl Crow, Brad Paisley, St. Vincent and Brittany Howard teamed up for the cause by singing “I Love L.A.” Tribute was also paid to legendary musician Quincy Jones, who passed away last November.

Controversy on the red carpet struck when Ye (Kanye West) showed up with his wife, Bianca Censori, wearing a see-through dress. The nude look and the couple’s early departure parked rumours that they were kicked out of the ceremony.

The GRAMMYs also witnessed historical wins (and disappointments) this year (like always). Artists leading in nominations included Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé, Charli XCX and Post Malone. Record Of The Year was awarded to Kendrick Lamar and his song “Not Like Us.” Beyoncé FINALLY won her first Album Of The Year and became the first female Black artist to win the best country music album. Doechii snatched home the award for best rap album, becoming the third woman ever to do so. Brat singer and summer phenomenon Charli XCX earned three shining trophies for her dance-electronic work. Five-time nominee and breakthrough artist Chappell Roan claimed Best New Artist, delivering a speech that urges record labels to better support emerging artists, quoting: “Labels, we got you. But do you got us?”

Some other tea and highlights of this year’s award ceremony include Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift walking away from the event with no wins at all. It seemed like they were “robbed,” as some fans are calling it. Their respective albums, Hit Me Hard And Soft and The Tortured Poet’s Department, were nominees for the big categories but surprisingly ended up being runner-ups this year. Olivia Rodrigo and Sabrina Carpenter were seen talking and sharing a hug (war is over, guys!). The Weeknd ended his boycott of the award ceremony by performing two songs from his newest album, Hurry Up Tomorrow. Benson Boone performed Beautiful Things wearing a sparkly blue jumpsuit and his signature flip that made fans dig up his past as a competitive diver. Amy Allen became the first woman to win the GRAMMY for Songwriter Of The Year, Non-Classical. She said, in her acceptance speech, that “Without us [songwriters], there would be no songs […] We are the engine that fuels the entire music industry.”

Anddd phew…this concludes Music’s Biggest Night this year! Obviously, there’s way more stuff that happened, so please feel free to check out the GRAMMY’s official page for a detailed list of all the nominees and winners!
