White Flag
I am a white flag Waving Waving Waving Waving Waving Waiting The wind pushes me this way And that But it is my dance Whether I go forward or backwards I’m restless Knowing that what I’m waiting for Is so close and so far Waiting
Your Eyes Tell Me
Like how my mom avoids the winter
Although she knows it’s coming
She looks outside in disgust
As the leaves begin to fall
The wind gets quicker
The rain gets colder and oftener
You look at me like she looks at the snow
Falling down
Her face says,
“I hate you.”
