Maple or Cardinal?

John Abbott College is about to open a new modular building in the courtyard between the library building and Penfield. The new building will serve as a substitute for the classrooms that will be affected by major renovations in Penfield, Hochelaga, and Hochelaga Annex. This will allow affected classes to continue despite the upcoming disruptions.

The new building will include all amenities that students might need for their classes, such as computer rooms, office spaces, meeting rooms and washrooms. It will also be two stories high. However, it will not be connected to the main college.

Students also had a chance to vote for the name of the building. The new building will either be called “Maple Hall” or “Cardinal Hall”. The outcome of the vote has not been announced yet.
