The Downfall of Anime Club

Out of all the clubs out there, Anime Club is probably at the bottom of the barrel. Their downfall can be a good case study of what not to do if you want your club to succeed. Although not many people know about the club’s history, I was able to get in contact with its current president, Autumn Ha, for a quick interview.
(Looks into the mirror)
What’s the club’s current status, and how did you become president of it?
“Anime Club used to be a popular club – or so I heard… It was two weeks into my first semester of college back in early September. When I first heard about the club, it wasn’t a club. It was a dead Discord server, a relic that club members used to message through. I had asked around about the club, hoping to join it, only to end up finding myself reviving the club and applying as its sole member and president. These days, our meetings reach a very low number of active members, as it essentially restarted from the ground up.”
What happened to the club? What’s its history in popularity?
“Though I wasn’t even attending the school last semester, I do know it used to be relatively popular a few semesters back. From discussing with old members, I learned that its downfall essentially boils down to the graduation of the former presidents, which the crown had to be passed onto an unfortunate unwilling member who was (rightfully) too occupied with school. This led to a semester of meetings diminishing in returning members, eventually leading to meetings with no one showing up. In short, a single semester killed the Anime Club, and my attempt at reviving it is becoming desperate.”
That sounds rough. Any last words before the word limit?
“Our meetings are on Wednesdays at 5:30 in H-234. We’ve recently been playing visual novels during them. If anyone wants to join, just show up!”
